Get ready for Yocto Project Developer Day 2025 in Amsterdam! This one-day presentation and hands-on training day puts you in direct contact with Yocto Project technical experts and developers. Come learn about creating, customizing, and optimizing Linux distributions for embedded devices using the rich features, tools, and content of Yocto Project. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding on topics like build system workflow, embedded security, working with containers, building applications, optimizing images, hardening your devices, and leveraging tools like devtool.
This event will take place the day after Open Source Summit Europe (Thursday, August 28). To register for the Yocto Project Developer Day, add it to your Open Source Summit Europe registration.

An in-person training session based on Bootlin’s Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded development training, detailed at https://bootlin.com/training/yocto/. This comprehensive course spans 3 full days (8 hours per day) and includes a total of 24 hours of training.
The sessions will alternate between lectures and hands-on practical work, allowing participants to directly apply the concepts learned, with the help of our experienced trainer. The practical labs represent 50% to 60% of the whole course time and will be conducted using the ARM-based STMicroelectronics STM32MP157D-DK1 platform. Even though this particular platform is used for the hands-on work, the course content is designed to be applicable to any hardware platform relevant to your projects.
An online seminar corresponding to Bootlin’s Yocto Project and OpenEmbedded development training course, described with full details on https://bootlin.com/training/yocto/. It is delivered over 4 half-days of 4 hours each.
The sessions will alternate between lectures and live demonstrations made by the trainer on real hardware. The live demonstrations will be made using the ARM-based STMicroelectronics STM32MP157D-DK1 platform. Even though this particular platform is used for the live demonstrations, the course remains perfectly useful and valid regardless of the specific hardware platform used in your projects.
