It is that time of the year again, when open source people from all over the place flock to Brussels and I follow them to see what they are up to.
What is going on?
We always suspected that making a web interface that could configure and run Yocto Project builds would be tricky. Well, we were right.

The schedule for the upcoming Developer Day at ELCE has been finalized. Unfortunately, registrations are now closed - we filled up fast! Plans are in the works for another DevDay at ELC and ELCE in 2015.
Crosswalk is a web runtime based on Chromium that provides all the features of a modern browser, combined with deep device integration and an API for adding native extensions. The Crosswalk team is happy to announce that it is now available as a meta layer for the Yocto Project, which includes Crosswalk and a few example web apps.
The Yocto Project is happy to announce Yocto Project Developer Day at the Embedded Linux Conference Europe this year on October 16 in Dusseldorf, Germany. This year, the hands-on workshops will be focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and will include a development board that attendees will take home with them. We have a great lineup of speakers, and lunch is provided.
Administrative annoyances resolved:
- The social media menu that floated about the main nav has been disabled for authenticated users
- Cloning a node no longer created a bogus alias
- The organization of data entry screens more closely matches how information is input
- Markdown has been enabled to make formatting release notes based on existing content easier and more attractive
- The workflow to move releases from current to previous has been massively streamlined
