Many organizations both small and large have chosen to take the next step in supporting the Yocto Project by becoming member organizations. Member organizations are Linux Foundation corporate members who wish to contribute to and influence the directions the Yocto Project takes as it continues to grow. These organizations include open source projects like OpenEmbedded eV; operating systems and tools vendors like Mentor Graphics, Wind River Systems, Enea AB, and MontaVista Software; electronics manufacturers like Huawei; independent contractors like Steve Sakoman; and even hardware manufacturers like Texas Instruments and Intel Corporation. All of these organizations work together to advise the project on industry needs, and all contribute to the project in numerous ways.
