To all the chiefriver BSP customers,

The Chiefriver BSP was made for a specific ivy-bridge developement
board. That board is not available anymore. On the other hand, the NUC
BSP provides support for ivy-bridge CPU platforms which includes all the
features of Chiefriver BSP, especially the AMT support. While
considering these aspects, the Yocto Project BSP team is considering the
chiefriver BSP for retirement before the Yocto Project 1.6 release. If
anybody has any objections or concerns for retiring of the chiefriver
BSP, then vice your concern by responding to this email. If no concern
or response is received in a week from this email, then the chiefriver
BSP will be removed from the meta-intel master branch, and will not be
available in the Yocto Project 1.6 release. Also note that this will not
remove the Chiefriver BSP support from any of the older Yocto Project
releases, and the Chiefriver BSP will still be available publicly in
Yocto Project 1.5 and older releases.
