[yocto] How to set RPATH in SConscript?

I am trying to create an image with a package built with scons. Inside a SConscript, it sets RPATH=[env.get('BUILD_DIR')]. I believe this is causing "QA Error: package contain bad RPATH" on some of the executables during do_package. If this is indeed the problem, what should I set RPATH to inside SConscript?
