[meta-intel] open source JTAG kernel debugging for Intel processors / Atom?

Hi,

For the Intel Atom, is there an open source JTAG solution that I can use 
to do Linux kernel debug (something similar to what ADI did with 
Blackfin, gdbproxy, and the FTDI chip)?

I'm starting to look at the Atom for an embedded project, and I would 
love to use open source tools (both hardware and software) for JTAG 
debugging.  Has Intel opened up their JTAG interface for debugging?
