[meta-freescale] Problem with X11 and Vivante GPU driver

Hello,

I have built a custom X11-based image for SMARC sAMX6i based on 3.10.53,
including the Vivante GPU driver. The config file xorg.conf specifies that
the "vivante" driver should be used in the Device section, and Xorg.log
shows that the Vivante driver has been loaded. However, when trying to run
some X11 application (e.g., Qt application) I see an error message that
extension "Xfree86-DRI" has not been loaded, and the Xorg.log files includes
the following lines:

..

[3125638.616] (EE) VIVANTE(0): [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI.

[3125638.651] (II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI2 capable

[3125638.667] (II) GLX: Initialized DRISWRAST GL provider for screen 0

/var/log# [dri] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI.

Based on the above, it seem that X11 is using software rendering and not GPU
HW acceleration. Any ideas what could cause this issue?

Best regards,

Andreas Enbacka
