Just for my understanding. If I update to the following versions it should/could work with my 3.0.35-4.1.0 Kernel!?

firmware-imx 3.10.17-1.0.0
imx-lib 3.10.17-1.0.0
imx-vpu 3.10.17-1.0.0
libfslcodec 3.0.11
libfslparser 3.0.11
libfslvpuwrap 1.0.46
gst-fsl-plugins 3.0.11

The gstreamer plugins should work on the older kernel release.  We do test legacy builds on mx53 and mx28 which use older kernel to verify that they are backward compatible.

If you do use vpu wrapper note that the vpu firmware was also updated in firmware-imx and should be backported.

 Subject: [meta-freescale] Update gst-fsl-plugins from 3.0.8 to 3.0.11 on 3.0.35-4.1.0 Kernel

Hi,

currently I'm using the gst-fsl-plugins version 3.0.8 and I saw that in the meantime some network streaming related changes were added in the newer version of the gst-fsl-plugins.

I want to stay on Kernel 3.0.35-4.1.0, but I want to update the gst-fsl-plugins to a newer version. And there are also new versions of libfsl{codec, parser, vpuwrap} and the imx-lib.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to update the gst-fsl-plugins and libfsl{codec, parser, vpuwrap} without switching to Kernel 3.10.17-1.0.0 ??

 Regards
 -
 Benjamin
