These are the individual projects that make up the Yocto Project. Each of these holds a key role in developing embedded Linux, and the Yocto Project works to make all of them interoperable and useful.
AutoBuilder is a project to automate build tests and QA.
One of the most neglected areas of open source development is testing and QA. A goal of The Yocto Project is to lead the industry in being the first open source project that targets embedded developers who
- publish their QA and testing plans,
- demonstrate their testing and QA in public,
- and develop tools to automate test and QA procedures for the benefit of everyone.
With this in mind we already have a public autobuilder through which the status of the current master branch of Poky can be seen by anyone at any time (see http://autobuilder.yoctoproject.org). This mechanism performs immediate 'acid' tests on any changes made to Poky and also performs nightly complete build tests across all the supported architectures.
In the future these tests will also include runtime testing of images using QEMU.
