I downloaded their toolchain from
https://releases.linaro.org/components/toolchain/binaries/6.2-2016.11/arm-linux-gnueabihf/gcc-linaro-6.2.1-2016.11-x86_64_arm-linux-gnueabihf.tar.xz

This one seems fine:

$ echo "#include <cstddef>" | ./bin/arm-linux-gnueabihf-cpp -E -x c++ -o
/dev/null -

(also works with -cpp replaced by -gcc and -g++)

To see how a failure looks like, replace -x c++ with -x c:

$ echo "#include <cstddef>" | ./bin/arm-linux-gnueabihf-cpp -E -x c -o
/dev/null -
<stdin>:1:19: fatal error: cstddef: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.


So maybe simply overwrite the toolchain in your SDK with the one from
the link above. That will get you started at least.

Otherwise, use strace to see where it looks for the cstddef file:

echo "#include <cstddef>" | strace -f ${CXX} -E -x c++ -o /dev/null -
2>&1 | grep cstddef
