[yocto] Set route metric in recipe

Hello,

I would like to know how I can set the route metric for specific 
interfaces in a recipe. I have two interfaces, one eth0 for debugging 
and one ppp0 (modem) for internet connectivity. Since the eth0 interface 
has by default a lower route metric, but is not connected to the 
internet, I always have to set the route metric manually with 
NetworkManager.

Does anyone have an idea about this?
