[yocto] Minutes: Yocto Project Technical Team Meeting

YP Status:
•       YP 2.4.3 (Rocko) rc2 is built and in QA see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/2.4_QA_Status it is 94% complete.  It most likely will be out and released this week.
•       YP 2.3.4 (Pyro) rc1 is built and in QA see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/2.3_QA_Status  it is at 12% complete. It most likely will be released next week.
•       YP 2.2.4 (Morty) rc1 is built and in QA see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/2.2_QA_Status  it is at 12% complete. It most likely will be released in a couple of weeks.
•       YP 2.6 M1 Build Target is June 11, 2018.  It will begin in QA and be the priority when it goes in.  We most likely won’t submit to QA until gcc 8 changes are submitted and clean.

·         YP 2.6 M3 Release Target is Sept. 7, 2018
·         YP 2.6 M4 Build Target is Oct. 1, 2018
·         YP 2.6 M4 Release Target is Oct. 26, 2018
Discussed Platform Security Summit.
Discussed Security layers available.  Would like YP to try to support one layer.  See: http://lists.openembedded.org/pipermail/openembedded-architecture/2018-May/000762.html then also https://github.com/gmccollister/meta-ima,  https://github.com/01org/meta-security-isafw, https://github.com/intel/meta-intel-iot-security, & http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-selinux.

Discussed that we need a security solution, an update solution, and a container solution for YP and make this publicly known and available to keep YP relevant in today's world. We have a lot of pieces for these, but need to insure they work well.
