[yocto] recipes for git gfortran java

All,
what is the best way to install git gfortran and  java to beagleboards and
pandaboards.
With angstrom builds you use opkg.  Since Yocto is rpm base are there repo
that have compiled software.
Any and all help will be appreciated.
