[yocto-ab] More on YP membership

Hi folks - following on Richard's note about member involvement, I'd like to start a few conversations and brain cells before the meeting in Berlin, which I hope you will all attend.

There was discussion a few months ago about membership and attendant issues as it relates to the project's cash flow. The participation requirement that RP talks about can directly impact this, as it also adds to the project's resources. I'd like to propose taking some time in Berlin to review the project's roles & responsibilities document (did you know we had one?) and discuss the issues.

In April, we instituted a new membership level - Platinum, at 100k+. Several members have been researching whether their organizations could move to this level, and I hope they will bring good news to us in Berlin. We also talked about raising our existing dues a little bit as well as changing the membership structure a bit to promote membership adoption. I want to make sure we preserve the benefits for existing members as well.
