YP's 1.7 release will be focusing on improving the development
workflow with the Yocto Project, with a particular emphasis on
application development. To ensure that we address the most pressing
issues, we are running a round of interviews with OpenEmbedded and
Yocto Project users to hear about the problems they are experiencing
and which ones should be prioritised from their perspective.

We have so far spoken to commercial embedded Linux vendors and
distribution engineers. However, we have been unable to secure any
interviews with embedded application developers. We are concerned
about the fact that their point of view is missing, and about their
requirements being ignored.

If your company includes teams of application developers working on
top of distributions created with the Yocto Project / OpenEmbedded,
you can help us reach the kind of person we are missing. An
introduction to one or two of those application developers should be
enough to get us started. The interviews are carried out by telephone,
last only 45 minutes and require no preparation on their side. The
conclusions gathered from all interviews will be shared with the Yocto
Project and OpenEmbedded communities. Although such conclusions might
include quotes from specific interviews, no individual or company
names will be disclosed.

If you think you can help us reach application developers, please
contact Belén (belen.barros.pena at intel.com) or Jefro.

Many thanks
