Hi all - there have been some questions about the use of the YP
Participant and YP Compatible badges among member organizations, so I
wanted to send out a clarification on how the program works.

All YP Member Organizations - those who pay dues, are represented on
this Advisory Board, and appear on this page:
https://www.yoctoproject.org/ecosystem/member-organizations - are
included in the YP Participant program and may use the Participant
badge on their websites and materials, and we encourage you all to do
so.

Non-member organizations must be voted into the program by the Advisory Board.

YP Compatible is a different story. All Compatible applications must
be voted on by the Advisory Board *before* being used, and each
release of a product currently requires its own application and
processing by the technical team. This ensures that the badge retains
its value and namesake as identifying only those layers and products
that meet the technical team's standards.

Please make sure that your products and layers have been verified and
voted into the program before using them. If you have any questions
about the voting process, please let me know and I'd be glad to answer
them.

For reference, the program is described in detail and links to the
application forms are provided here:

thanks
