Notes

- voting Poky as YP Compatible
rp:
confusion from community
not listed on official list, no reason it shouldn't be
reference implementation
to alleviate confusion
there are some layers that are not yet ypc
ds:
meta-yocto yp compatible?
rp:
made changes for 1.3 to make it compatible, but no official step
technical issues resolved

question - which other components are/aren't YP compatible?
=> J to figure out, call for votes & document
  link on git.yoctoproject.org
note there that listing on that server is not guarantee of yp compat

=> J to fix official listing on website

autobuilder not necessary - meta-yocto and meta-yocto-bsp?

sk: global usage - derivative projects
what is the value of the brand
davide:
registration process brief
creating dynamic in the market
everything has to be registered

Technical Update

- NTP
concern over the default server
YP users provide a lot of traffic
arrange donation?
set LIC flag = noncommercial
bm: perhaps hit dhcp server first and only use as fallback
compliance issue & practical issue
ds: look for alternatives
we shouldn't make it easy to accidentally enable many hits
eg 500/yr donation is drop in bucket if millions of implementations

=> RP to take it to (yocto) mailing list, report back to AB
each commercial player decides what to do
update documentation

Move Innov

=> J announce new participants

Poky
vote for YP Compatible

x> 24hr grace period to use branding as long as they submit
.> contact jefro/richard as early as possible
.> submit on day of announcement
.> grace period 2 weeks, if no vote they have to stop using materials

=> include info in vote request, jefro/richard ok

nod from architect should make it ok
make a donation to the project?
