- ELCE/LinuxCon planning, allocating ELCE passes

Yocto Project members will present 4-5 talks and a BoF
Advocacy team (Tracey) will have a Yocto booth

AB F2F: will schedule for 4-6pm local time, weds and thurs
and will discuss the best time for everyone on this list as the
schedules for the conferences become available

As a sponsor, we have 5 passes to circulate
Philip will inquire in OE circles about anyone who might be desperate for a
pass

- 1.1 beta testing

Beta testing is proceeding, anyone interested in participating should
contact Song
John Cherry to possibly provide a few more heads

- Finance review

per our agreement in august - agreed to budget of 36k for q3/q4, 6k each for
corps
should have received invoices
some have already paid
of those, as of aug 31 used:
1k for osu rack charges july/august
5k for ELCE bronze sponsorship
250 for linuxcon phone charge
total spent was 6250
have 29750 left in budget for year to cover osu charges, infrastruc, memory
& hard drives in q4
still have to buy giveaways for prague as well as ops (phone) costs for
prague
need to decide on meeting time for those who cant attend in person, make
sure accommodate time
also need to decide on finances for 2012
working out numbers for pro forma budget now
please forward any costs you foresee, will incorporate before prague
Brad: is this published online somewhere?
can do - Lieu will forward for Jefro to put online including update from
today

advocacy & finance - there was a suggestion in aug to find other means
around financial contributions
creative ways someone can contribute, e.g. printing yocto tshirts with their
corporate logo
Lieu and advocacy team looking into that, will discuss at 1pm PDT today
by prague, will come up with a proposal going forward
not changing t-shirt design for prague

John: discussion about contributions in kind, such as board farm?

Dave has AR to work on that; board farm work could be contrib in kind
Dave & lieu to talk infrastruc in general for next year
John spoken only briefly, in favor of board farm concept
as of now, don't really have AB approval to pursue
good topic for prague ***

John: going over basics of the board farm proposal
idea was to create way for board vendors to provide devices
to devs in ways they can be controlled
even with power cycling capability & possible webcam visualizing
can host something like this in mentor lab in mobile al
provide admin & lab tech support
make accessible to yocto for testing & dev
plan to extend mentor internal board farm structure to be external
unknown whether infrastructure could be open sourced
straightforward ssh-type access
some devices permanently checked out, need enough devices that app devs and
yocto devs can have access
next step for Mentor is final approval internally
proposal has basic positive response
still need approval good idea from yocto AB, ways we can leverage into
contrib in kind for 2012
a lot of logistics are basic - net access, big ticket items in purchasing
collect ref boards from vendors, test access method types, open initially to
yocto testing infrastructure, next some devs
