My first reply not withstanding (that I have change queued), there are
other recipes
(and valid reasons) to enforce versions in the dependencies.

I'm not ipk expert .. so you are saying there's no way to enforce this if
you use ipk ?

I wouldn't run around changing these, if that was the case, since I'm not
seeing
a compelling reason to remove a capability simply because one of the formats
can't support it.
