These should be done with cherry-pick -x. I performed the cherry pick
manually using your master/fido version, the MATINERS was a one line
conflict fix, the README applied cleanly. The log reads as follows:
$ git log -2

You can do this and submit the patches in this way to dizzy and it
preserves the cherry-pick meta-data. I will apply these to dizzy from my
cherry-pick this time.
