I made sure I had the latest master when I applied your patch, so I
don't think that's the problem.

For instance, this is in master:

http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-intel/tree/meta-chiefriver/recipes-kernel/linux/linux-yocto-rt_3.10.bbappend

But there's nothing removing any linux-yocto-rt* in your patch.
