I’m not too sure about GMAIL UI, so I can’t comment much on that.
I’m creating dpdk-1.6.0r2 recipes and is currently pending for internal review at the moment. I hope you can wait for that.

Cause I've prepared recipe that is targeting dpdk-1.6.0r2 and is also targeting Romley. And yes there is no specific Romley's setting for my recipe as well.
In the past Gaurang Shastri was trying to do that as well. He submitted meta-intel at yoctoproject.org a patch of his first draft.
