Hi Brian,

Do you know of a specific patch you need? You referred to the problem as a
known thing, so just curious if you are aware of the solution as well.
Commit Ids?

As for switching kernels, I'm obligated to point out the 3.8 is an end of
life kernel (has been for quite some time) and will not receive any
additional stable or security updates by Greg KH. It is advisable to use a
longterm kernel (3.4, 3.10, ...) for any product release to reduce your
own overhead and provide your customers with the most stable platform.
