As far as I can tell it resolves the problem. There is a remaining issue
that the audio mixer needs to be setup manually since for some reason
the alsastate isn't restoring a sane value (not sure why). That can be
documented in the fri2 wiki though. I don't think you have to document
anything for the FRI2 in the release notes.

(I am having trouble with my serial console, but that may just be my
hardware.... I don't see us getting to the bottom of that before release)
