Well I am using 6Q AI (not Plus), so it may be the difference (or not).
Please let me take time to try with the followings.
1) Nitrogen6x with my customized image (yes, I am getting my Nit6Q)
2) 6Q AI with (unmodified) community-BSP based image.

I have just booted a imx6qp sabreauto with 4.13.3 kernel and I do not
see any codec probe error:
