Tom,
The PPC machines will not be supported in Layerscape SDK which has replaced QorIQ SDK since Mar/2017, so we removed the PPC targets from latest Yocto release(2.4) accordingly.
You can find more information of the topic from https://www.mail-archive.com/meta-freescale@yoctoproject.org/msg20706.html.
Best Regards,
Zhenhua

Subject: RE: meta-freescale linux-qoriq roadmap
Zhenhua,
I just looked through the master branch of meta-freescale and I do see that linux-qoriq is at 4.4, but when I look in the conf/machines I do not see any of the PPC qoriq processors. I see LSxxx parts but no T1xxx or T2xxx machines. Will the Txxxx PPC processors be still supported ?
Regards,
Tom

The kernel of qoriq targets has been upgraded to 4.4 in master branch of meta-freescale.
The LSDK 17.09 and LSDK 17.12 will supports LTS 4.4 and LTS-4.9, LSDK 18.03 plans to support LTS 4.9 and recent LTS kernel (4.14?).
Best Regards,
Zhenhua

Is there anything that documents the planned roadmap for the linux-qoriq kernel ?
Currently the linux-qoriq is supported using kernel version 4.1.xx, are there any plans to go to a newer kernel like 4.9.xx ?
Thanks,
Tom
