[meta-freescale] RT Preempt for SCM.i.MX Quick Start Board

Hi,

I am trying to implement RT Preempt on the SCM i.MX quick start board. I have run into a lot of confusion about how this is done. I saw some set PREFFERED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel to "linux-yocto-rt" in local.conf. I have seen others manage to apply the RT patches manually, however, they were using LTIB. I have also seen references to kernel recipes that already reference RT patches and get built by yocto automagically. I am at a point where I am not exactly sure how to make my system an RT system. Currently, my best guess is to use the 3.14.28 rt linux kernel because it already applies the RT patches. I am wondering if there is any simpler way to achieve my goal and use the 3.14.52 linux kernel that the yocto project for this board defaults to.

Thanks!
