[meta-freescale] default root password or password request

Did actually no one ever want to add a root password (or a new user WITH password) via recipe ?
Btw the command "useradd -p password tester;" does not work on the console either so why should it in the .conf or recipe ;-)
Although I read something like above in the examples, (with clear-text password) somewhere I also read that the password parameter expects the crypted password.
I tried setting one and then copied it from the /etc/shadow into the .conf but it didn't work either. Or is that the problem, that shadow is used here ?

This was obviously cross postet ;-) I cleaned the project and now can again login without password, also when openssh is added(if "debug-tweaks" is enabled). The problem that remains is that I can't set a password to a user, if I try the user is not able to login. Also I can't add a user via recipe only via local.conf.

It all depends on your recipes; you may be messing up with the password. On standard metadata it seems to be working just fine.

We'd need to see your image recipe and local.conf file to try to guess something.
