[meta-freescale] GTKfb?

Hello,

How can I edit my Yocto recipe so that I can run GTK+ on a Wandboard-Quad
without having to have a window manager or x-session?  Essentially I need
the equivalent of GTKfb in order to run directly on the frame buffer.   Can
the same effect be achieved using directfb and removing x11 and wayland?
