Ok, I was afraid of that.

Thank you for your quick answer.

Any idea why I had to turn off the cpu frequency scaling?
It worked for the SABRE SD board but now the kernel crashed when booting.

Hello list,
We have developed a custom board based around the i.MX6D processor.
We have booted it with a modified sabresd build (hacked the sabresd board file).
(Had to disable cpu frequency scaling in order for it to work)

Attached to the board is a touchscreen with drivers requiring kernel > 3.5 for multitouch support.
I am currently looking into how to solve this issue.

For now, I think it is easier to backport the touchscreen driver.

How much work will it be to get our board up and running on newer kernel?

The main blocker for now would be GPU I think.

Will for instance the vivante GPU drivers work?

Not now.

Has anyone got any experience with running a newer kernel on the SABRE SD board for instance?

It works but some devices are still not supported.
