These and it appears all that follow have no commit message describing
what they are for, where the code came from, what problem they address,
etc. Please read the contributing section of the wiki and present these
patches appropriately.

The following is relevant for submitting patches just about anywhere:

In general, you should follow the same standards here as you would for
the stable kernel tree or possibly something like LTSI which is a bit
more accepting of new drivers and such. The same standards for patch
submissions apply here as apply for the mainline kernel however.
